Hadis Fard (XEL) is an Iranian-Canadian audio-visual artist, sound artist, creative technologist,
and curator. currently living and creating on the ancestral lands of the Sḵwx ̱ wú7mesh and
Shíshálh Nations. With a background in computer science, engineering, and fine art, she
bridges sound, image, code, and performance to explore the entanglements of art, technology,
and ecology. Fard’s practice is rooted in eco-feminine perspectives, mythology, decolonization,
interspecies dialogue, and collective consciousness. She has performed and exhibited
internationally, and has collaborated with artists with a wide range of creative palettes, and
welcomes co-creation and collaboration in sound, visual arts, creative technology or envisioning
social change.
