Call for Artists – Building Together IV: Synthetic Sounds

Building Together IV: Synthetic Sounds

Currently Arts Society (CAS) presents the fourth edition of our self-made instrument workshop series: “Building Together IV: Synthetic Sounds.”

We are accepting applications from artists across disciplines (no sound or instrument building experience required) to participate in a multi-session workshop that will culminate into a public exhibition/concert of completed works.

This edition will focus on electronic instruments and sound sculptures.

We will prioritize artists that have not participated in previous Building Together workshops.

Artistic Goals

We will design and build an electronic instrument, or sound object with the support and mentorship of guest facilitators who build electronics, and sound and electronic artist Anju Singh. We hope to develop more interest and excitement in instrument building and self-made sound sources for artists across disciplines to use in their projects. Please note that while the Building Together series is supported with mentorship, participants largely build projects on their own using skills and advice shared in the sessions.
