Call for Artists – Building Together II: Acoustic Reactions
Currently Arts Society (CAS) presents the second edition of our self-made instrument workshop series: “Building Together II: Acoustic Reactions.” We are accepting applications from artists across disciplines (no sound or instrument building experience required) to participate in a 4-part workshop that will culminate into an exhibition of works in progress. Pieces made during the workshop will be presented in partnership with Music on Main at this year’s Modulus Festival hosted at the Roundhouse Exhibition Hall. The exhibition will have an opening event November 7th and run until November 10th.
Artistic Goals
The goal of the project is to design and potentially start to build a sound sculpture, instrument, or sound object with the support and mentorship of experienced instrument builder George Rahi. We hope to develop more interest and excitement in instrument buildings and self-made sound sources for artists across disciplines to use in their projects.
