Yuetong Li, aka AJ Yuetong Li is a multidisciplinary street dance artist rooted in the vibrant scene of Vancouver. AJ started out her dance journey after she moved to Edmonton, Alberta from China and started to do competitive choreography with local studios. From there she was blessed to travel across North America and compete in world class choreography competitions such as World of Dance and Hiphop International.

In 2021, with a passion for further pursuing dance, AJ has then moved to Vancouver, BC and trained vigorously in various street dance styles like hiphop freestyle, popping and breaking. She has then travelled to different North American cities like Toronto, Montreal, Los Angeles and New York to learn from street dance originators and pioneers along with participating different street dance battle events.

Aside from street dance battles, AJ also heavily focuses her street dance practice with exploration in theatre performance, film and visual arts. Her artistry focuses on how her movements alter with exterior triggers and effects, primarily music and sounds. She also draws a lot of inspiration from her immigrant background and east asian heritage as well as mental health and self reflection.
