Simone’s work acts as an exploration of philosophy and psychoanalysis as they relate to love as a logically structuring touchstone of both of their thinking orientations. Under the creative moniker pseudo-antigone, Simone produces experimental pop music and clandestine essays on the internet.

pseudo-antigone is the experimental pop production moniker for simone a. medina polo. the project came to fruition throughout the covid-19 pandemic lockdowns, when pseudo-antigone picked up the reins of her music through audio engineering and attentiveness to technical production inspired by a love of midi, pc music, and electronic experiments.

Medina Polo’s work in philosophy, psychoanalysis, and Marxism in light of the threefold crises of capitalism, modernity, and ecological collapse. simone has delivered lectures, presentations, interviews, and writings on these topics often times exploring thinkers such as Plato, Immanuel Kant, G.W.F. Hegel, Karl Marx, Jacques Lacan, Gilles Deleuze, Jacques Derrida, Bracha Ettinger, Alain Badiou, Slavoj Žižek, Alenka Zupančič, Byung-Chul Han, contemporary speculative realisms and accelerationisms.
